Liberty Coal, the new owners of the Optimum Coal Mine, acknowledge receipt of the memorandum of demands submitted by the Pullenshope community ward 5.
The well-being of the community always has been and remains a priority for management. However, since taking ownership of the mine earlier this year, Liberty Coal is actively addressing several outstanding issues that are crucial to finalising a comprehensive five-year mining and refurbishment plan.
Currently, the mine is not fully operational, and while restoring its full functionality is a key priority, this process will take time.
